Hi! Yes, you in the back. Howdy. My name is Alex and I make drawings mostly.
Why ‘Ailyex vs. Dogboyo’? Well . . . the name comes from two of my favourite words/phrases - the former being a childhood nickname that makes everything all right, and the latter a phrase from my favourite Jeff Noon novel: Pollen. If ‘Ailyex vs. Dogboyo’ means anything, it sums up all kinds of opposites and contradicitons that might not work at first, but become lovely and richer for having been challenging.
I am currently in the odd transition of graduating and working what on earth happens next, so this blog is a way of venting my thoughts and keeping track of what on earth is going on. I flit between the two, but if you have MySpace, I’m also here.

Mostly I draw girls and monsters; talk nerdy with Mah Boy - referred to here as ‘Bass Face’ due to the ridiculous pout he puts on when playing; knit and make wonky things; covet libraries; wish for an orange-coloured day and hope that I don’t slip between the cracks because I was distracted by an abused apostrophe. I also do a great line in going on about/getting exciting about the following:
